Christina Faith
Director- Writer- Producer- Educator
Born Christina Faith in Atlantic City, New Jersey to a casino executive and drug-dealing hustler, Christina Faith’s life journey is the kind of school of hard knocks story that’s filled with all the complexities and nuances of a black woman bound for greatness.
In 2006, Faith felt called to impact culture through the lens of progressive faith and so she enrolled in Eastern University where she pursued a Master of Divinity degree. But the idea of merging her educational and ministry background with her love of the creative arts never left Christina Faith. She spent many subsequent years self-studying film and marketing. “I’m 100% self-taught. Got my MFA from YouTube and Google University,” Faith often jests.
With her husband, photographer & creative director Allen Johnson, they formed Creative Thought Media (CTM), a full-service media company and artist collective that focuses on creating original content and educational mentorship in the inner city of Philadelphia that influences culture. After a decade of developing her craft through short films, documentaries and theatre production projects such as Single and Anxious, Nickey’s Flesh, Haunted, Maverick Thoughts, Plan B and Carlos and more. A skilled director, producer, and writer, Christina Faith is a powerful voice; a visionary bringing to life stories that have been lost or marginalized in today’s culture.
